Quality Control
China Loong Industrial Pump Co., Ltd. applies structured quality control throughout material receiving, manufacturing, assembly, testing, packaging, and shipment preparation. Our inspection practices are designed to support consistent product quality across centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, chemical and petrochemical pumps, food and beverage pumps, submersible pumps, vacuum pumps, and pump systems for water treatment, wastewater, mining, mineral processing, fuel, and oil transfer applications.
Inspection requirements are established according to product specifications, material characteristics, operating conditions, and customer documentation. Relevant records are maintained to support traceability and order verification.
1. Incoming Material Inspection
Raw materials, castings, machined parts, motors, seals, bearings, and other purchased components are checked before they enter production. The scope and method of inspection depend on the component and its importance to pump performance.
- Material verification: Material identification and supplier documents are reviewed where required by the product specification.
- Dimensional inspection: Critical dimensions, tolerances, interfaces, and mounting features are checked using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Visual examination: Components are inspected for surface defects, damage, corrosion, casting irregularities, and other visible nonconformities.
- Component confirmation: Seals, bearings, fasteners, motors, and accessories are verified against the applicable bill of materials and order requirements.
- Nonconforming material control: Materials or components that do not meet internal inspection criteria are identified and separated for review.
2. In-Process Quality Control
Quality checks are carried out at defined production stages to identify issues before final assembly. Machining parameters, component fit, assembly conditions, and workmanship are monitored in accordance with internal procedures and applicable drawings.
- Machining control: Key dimensions, shaft alignment features, sealing surfaces, fits, and clearances are inspected as required.
- Assembly verification: Pump components are checked for correct orientation, secure installation, suitable clearances, and conformity with the production documentation.
- Seal and bearing installation: Mechanical seals, packing arrangements, bearings, and lubrication provisions are inspected with attention to correct selection and assembly.
- Process-specific checks: Wetted parts, corrosion-resistant materials, hygienic contact surfaces, or abrasion-related components receive inspection appropriate to their intended application.
- Identification and traceability: Product and component information is recorded where required to maintain consistency between production, inspection, and order documents.
3. Finished Product Inspection and Testing
Completed pumps and pump sets undergo final inspection according to product type, technical specification, and agreed order requirements. Testing scope may vary depending on pump design and intended service.
- Visual and workmanship inspection: The finished product is examined for assembly quality, cleanliness, coating condition, nameplate information, and overall appearance.
- Dimensional confirmation: Principal connection sizes, mounting dimensions, and other specified interfaces are checked when applicable.
- Rotation and operational checks: Shaft movement, rotation direction, operating condition, and abnormal noise or vibration are reviewed as appropriate.
- Leakage and pressure-related checks: Pump casings, seals, connections, and pressure-containing parts may be examined in line with the relevant product specification.
- Performance verification: Flow, head, vacuum, power, or other operating parameters may be tested when required by the product configuration or purchase agreement.
- Configuration review: Motors, couplings, baseplates, guards, valves, instruments, and accessories are checked against the confirmed order.
Special attention is given to application-related requirements. These may include corrosion compatibility for chemical and petrochemical service, cleanable product-contact areas for food and beverage applications, solids-handling considerations for wastewater or mineral processing, and sealing arrangements for fuel and oil transfer duties.
4. Packaging and Pre-Shipment Check
Before dispatch, each order is reviewed to confirm that the product, accessories, documentation, and packaging correspond with the approved commercial and technical requirements. Packaging methods are selected with consideration for product size, transportation method, destination, and handling conditions.
- Product protection: Openings, machined surfaces, and vulnerable components are protected against contamination, impact, and handling damage.
- Packaging inspection: Cases, pallets, supports, cushioning, and moisture-protection measures are checked as appropriate for the shipment.
- Label verification: Product labels, package markings, quantities, and shipping references are reviewed for consistency with the order.
- Accessory confirmation: Loose parts, spare parts, coupling components, tools, and specified accessories are counted and checked before packing.
- Document review: Available manuals, packing lists, inspection documents, and other agreed records are prepared according to order requirements.
5. Feedback, Corrective Action, and Continuous Improvement
Quality control continues after delivery through the review of customer feedback, application information, and reported product concerns. China Loong Industrial Pump Co., Ltd. evaluates relevant issues to identify possible causes and determine suitable corrective or preventive actions.
Feedback may be shared with engineering, purchasing, production, assembly, and inspection teams. Where appropriate, drawings, work instructions, inspection points, supplier requirements, or packaging methods are updated. This practical improvement process helps us refine manufacturing controls and better support the operating needs of international industrial pump customers.
